THE TERRITORY AND TOURISM :
NATURALISTIC, ARTISTIC AND CULTURAL ITINERARIES; SPORT AND FREE TIME.

The Intelvi’s Valley, between the Como (Lario) and the Lugano (Ceresio) lakes, is a charming, sun-drenched Valley, with quite mild climate and sufficiently damp, where a rich vegetation makes the green, the main characteristic of this Valley.
In this Valley one can find famous holiday resorts, which still maintain their arcaic simplicity and easy to reach.
This area presents many itineraries with great interest, to be visited : from Argegno to San Fedele and then to Lanzo and finally to the top of Sighignola. Here you can enjoy the view of the Alps and of the underlying Ceresio from “The Balcony of Italy”. One can see the ancient villages, the churches and the monuments, the period courts which keep the most valuable works of the “Magistri Intelvesi” artists, who left their mark in many European capitals.
From the Bisbino Mountain to the Intelvi’s Valley, there are places where one an take delightful walks across green meadows.
From the centre of the Valley to San Fedele various routes intersect. These lead to Pigra, Casasco, Pellio and Lanzo or along the branch which descends from Laino and Ponna to Claino and Osteno, on the bank of the italian Ceresio, where bone can find a ravine and the Rescia’s caves.
Horse-riding, golf and winter-sports are the attractions of the Intelvi’s Valley, which offers holidays all year round in hotels or villas and where walks and excursions are also possible.
One of the most interesting destinations is without doubt the Generoso Mountain in the Swiss territory, where easily accessible paths offer mountain landscape views of rare beauty.
In winter, lift facilities carry skiers to Monte Crocione (Castiglione ) and Sighignola (Lanzo), where ski tracks of different difficulty are available.Sport, green meadows, walks and routes for artistic and historical exploration are some of the reasons for an interesting stay.
